As a Security Officer Badge Check in Granite City, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening protocols, and security-related policies at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Observe site activity around gates, checkpoints, loading areas, and perimeter access points, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to post orders.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing foot and vehicle traffic, documenting events, and assisting with access restrictions during operational disruptions.
