As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols across a transit-focused location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to passengers and staff. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving transit facilities, vehicles, and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned transit locations, including buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as permitted by site-specific policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitor for and report suspicious activity, hazards, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns; document observations and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and coordination with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
