Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or military service.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor access, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and facility concerns.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by providing directions, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and helping maintain orderly access to restricted areas.
