Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and clear communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and/or daily patrol observations in required reports.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
