About The Position

As a full-time Armed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, Louisiana, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at a rate of $16.00 per hour.

The position involves following site-specific procedures and policies, conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting security observations. Employment is conditional on background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law, and includes participation in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; contact emergency services or site representatives when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.
