About The Position

The Armed Security Officer provides continuous patrols of Missouri Baptist Medical Center and remains attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, volunteers, staff, employees, and hospital property. The role is part of the Facilities Services Department, which provides security and other services to help keep the campus and its buildings, parking areas, patient-care areas, and common areas secure and well maintained. Individuals must be at least 21 years old to work in this position.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Less than two years of experience.
• No supervisor experience required.
• Applicable government-regulation qualifications or credentials.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
• ASP Baton Certification.
• CPR/AED certification.
• IAHSS certification.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification.
• PPCT certification.
• PD - PSUL.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations according to approved Security Department protocols.
• Properly maintain equipment issued and used while performing duties.
• Provide continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center.
• Mitigate crisis situations, including code responses, disturbances, fires, and disaster drills or situations.
• Complete required documentation for patrol vehicles and document incident reports.
