As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Staunton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
