You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Hold CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
