As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Tillery, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government corrections location, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. This driving post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
