As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist with access control. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and critical utility infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
