Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of armed security , law enforcement, corrections or criminal justice degree.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential location, including community entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify approved entry as directed by site policies, assisting with visitor interactions, resident inquiries, and/or delivery access in a professional manner.
  • Support property rules and community standards by observing and reporting policy violations, hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
