Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and help to support order during daily operations, events, and/or public interactions.
• Assist with incident response, alarms, and medical or weather-related situations by following post orders, communicating clearly, and helping to coordinate with appropriate personnel and/or first responders.
