As an Armed Security Officer - Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries in our Justice Building working alongside the Court system. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a Justice Building, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, support daily operations through teamwork, and act with integrity while serving guests, tenants, and staff.

Requirements

• Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Must possess an armed guard card/license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control practices, observe customer interactions, and report suspicious behavior and/or prohibited items.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing assigned reports, logs, and/or other security-related documentation.
