As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Coordinator in Elmwood Park, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including exterior areas, entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee movement, and follow site protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity.
  • Support branch operations by assisting with security-related inquiries, maintaining a visible presence, and communicating professionally with staff, visitors, and/or local responders when needed.
