About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Screen persons and permitted items entering the location by following access control procedures, verifying identification and credentials, and directing visitors according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations, actions taken, and/or notable events in required reports.
  • Support access management by monitoring entry points, challenging unauthorized access attempts when appropriate, and coordinating with site contacts and/or public sector personnel during escalated situations.
