Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public agency representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify suspicious behavior or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and members of the public regarding location rules and reporting procedures.
• Support daily operations by preparing incident reports, noting maintenance or security-related issues, and coordinating with supervisors and/or local first responders when appropriate.
