As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Screening in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utility location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess one or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and other restricted locations, remaining alert to unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to operational and infrastructure areas.
  • Support site operations by preparing reports, maintaining post records, and following Allied Universal and client-directed security-related policies and procedures.
