As a Security Officer Armed Patrol License Required in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Serve in an armed patrol role in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal standards, maintaining professional interaction with the public while monitoring access, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations.
Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or incident response during routine operations, service disruptions, special events, and other periods of increased public activity.
