Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and support controlled entry procedures for restricted areas, equipment spaces, and/or other sensitive locations.
Maintain readiness for an armed patrol post by following post orders, handling assigned equipment in accordance with policy, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious conditions promptly.
