As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guard in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed response in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe activity, and document security-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy violations, and communicate with site contacts, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when appropriate.
