Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorizations in accordance with site policies while reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during calls for service, alarms, evacuations, and other security-related events while maintaining professionalism and attention to post orders.
