Requirements

• Hospital-required vaccinations are required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions needing attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following site protocols for entry, restricted areas, and after-hours movement while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support a welcoming environment by offering directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting maintenance, operational, and/or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
