Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, documenting incidents and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support loss prevention and other security-related operations by reporting policy violations, assisting with investigations, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
