About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Patrol Flex in Land O Lakes, Florida. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned government facility, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up additional shifts, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $23.25 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security duties, including access control, armed patrols, incident response, and accurate documentation. Duties must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Industry-specific security training is required.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry out armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
