As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Caledonia, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government-operated utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and restricted areas to help identify unauthorized activity, unusual conditions, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or exiting controlled areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed by established procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, access-control activity, and observed conditions, following site-specific and Allied Universal requirements.
