Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or access credentials, and help to control entry in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation related to access control, deliveries, and/or incident reporting.
  • Support a professional presence in a financial institution location by answering questions, providing directions, and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
