Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out site-specific policies, front desk procedures, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and access permissions, and help to support a professional front desk presence within a financial institution location.
  • Answer phones, manage visitor logs, issue temporary badges or credentials, and communicate with building personnel regarding deliveries, appointments, and/or access-related questions.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to site procedures.
  • Observe entry points and security-related systems from the front desk, report suspicious activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive access control practices.
