About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Desk in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the distribution facility, document arrivals and departures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and operational spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate communication channels and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, trailer lots, parking areas, and warehouse surroundings, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Prepare clear logs and reports related to access activity, visitor management, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant details to Allied Universal leaders and/or site contacts.
