As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Watch in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to identify policy violations, potential theft, and/or escalated customer situations, and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Support retail operations by assisting with access control, observing customer and employee activity, and following post orders related to cash handling areas, deliveries, and/or closing procedures.
