Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorization for entry while following post orders and established protocols for controlled areas.
• Support security-related operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of inmate movement and staff activity when applicable, and reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations.
