Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas while documenting observations, reporting concerns, and following post orders and/or site instructions.
- Support access control activities by verifying credentials, assisting with visitor processing, and communicating professionally with staff and guests regarding location protocols.
