As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document arrivals and departures to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, access irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or public personnel regarding entry requirements, restricted areas, and other security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, lobbies, and the perimeter, as assigned, noting unusual activity and reporting observations through proper channels.
