About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to members, guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
  • Communicate with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding deliveries, guest arrivals, special events, and other security-related matters.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
