As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and report maintenance and/or access issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe for suspicious behavior, and follow post orders related to government operations and public interaction.
  • Assist with alarms, evacuations, and/or other site events by following established instructions, providing clear direction, and notifying appropriate personnel or first responders when needed.
