As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site protocols and financial institution standards.
  • Support cash handling, opening and closing, and other sensitive operational periods through visible presence, detailed observation, and timely communication regarding security-related issues.
