As a Security Officer Armed - Access Coordination in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or policy violations, and maintain accurate incident and patrol documentation.
• Collaborate with school personnel and public service partners as appropriate during emergencies, evacuations, and other security-related events.
