As a Security Officer Airport Screener in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen people and property, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Monitor entry points, loading areas, and related activity to help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and/or policy violations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions within warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas.
