As a Security Officer Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or packages, and support access control activities. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, parcels, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders, client policies, and applicable screening guidelines.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report suspicious, unauthorized, and/or unusual activity to site leadership and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help support security-related operations, identify concerns, and report maintenance, access, and/or policy issues.
