As a Security Officer Driver Screener in Hutchins, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, screen people and/or items, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post. You will remain visible, provide strong customer service, and contribute to a reliable, team-oriented environment built on integrity and innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with posted policies and security-related procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or prohibited items to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, loading and receiving zones, and the perimeter as directed by site-specific procedures.
