Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
  • Ability to obtain AOA Badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or public agency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned indoor and outdoor areas, including public access points, operational zones, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and report suspicious behavior, unattended property, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support orderly operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow concerns during routine activity, busy travel periods, and emergency situations.
