Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
  • Ability to obtain AOA Badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter areas, with attention to unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence and consistent application of post orders.
  • Support day-to-day location operations by communicating with site personnel, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and following established procedures during emergencies and/or service disruptions.
