As a Security Officer - Airport Concourse, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aviation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout terminal areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, verify credentials when required, and report irregularities to site leadership.
- Support crowd management, queue observation, and public-facing interactions in a professional manner while assisting with security-related incidents and/or operational disruptions.
