Requirements

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
1+ years of Security Experience
21+ years of age
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and pedestrian traffic for security-related concerns, reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
Support access control activities by checking identification, verifying authorized access, and providing directions or assistance to the public while maintaining professional interactions.
