As a Security Officer Access Verification in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, visitor processing, and/or security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, review credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to offices, data-sensitive areas, and other restricted spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Document visitor activity, access-related incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, lobbies, and other access control points as working environments and conditions vary by location.
