Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to control authorized access for personnel, vendors, and vehicles entering the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, visitor activity, and other access control-related information in accordance with post instructions and client site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, gates, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and support security-related awareness across the location.
