As a Security Officer Access Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and document access-related activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and/or unusual activity through appropriate reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Support vehicle, personnel, and material screening procedures as assigned, while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
