As an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and other security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and document activity involving trucks, trailers, packages, and/or vendors in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, perimeter, parking areas, and/or loading and receiving zones to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
  • Prepare logs, reports, and pass-down notes related to access control activity, incidents, and/or policy violations, and report concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
