About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Salisbury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, credential verification, and/or basic security-related response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify employee, contractor, and delivery authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including access points, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, following reporting procedures, and addressing concerns with professionalism.
