Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, credentials, visitor logs, delivery documentation, and/or vehicle information in accordance with post orders and site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, dock areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Document daily activities, visitor and contractor arrivals, vehicle movements, and/or incident details in required logs and reports to help support security-related operations and site awareness.
