About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support site operations with strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post. You will help to deter security-related incidents while representing our agile, reliable, and innovative team with integrity and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and Allied Universal protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and authorization for personnel and vehicles, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, including perimeter locations, gates, and access points, while observing for conditions that may require security-related attention.
  • Support emergency response activities by following site procedures, helping to control access during critical events, and preparing clear, accurate reports on daily activities and/or incidents.
